Yasmin Ziaee is from Laurel, Maryland. She earned her bachelor degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, and Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Howard University. Yasmin is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in Maryland and DC.
Yasmin is passionate about researching and providing culturally competent services to all of her clients, particularly children from low-income, multicultural communities. Yasmin works with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, language-based literacy disorders, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, social communication disorders (pragmatics), expressive/receptive language delays, memory and listening difficulties as well as reading and writing comprehension deficits. Yasmin has training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
Yasmin currently provides speech and language services for the Montgomery County Public School System where she works closely with parents, teachers, and other therapy providers to provide effective and evidence-based treatment to children with speech and language needs. Yasmin is fluent in Farsi.
